May 2012
No sooner have I adjusted the prices (see March 2012 below) that the Post Office increase all the prices considerably. So, to UK and Europe they will cost £15.00 including delivery. To the USA/Canada they will be £13.00
March 2012
The PCBs are now slightly larger - 19mm x 22.5mm. That will hopefully make it a little easier to connect the wires. I will update the photos when I get chance. I have also added the provision for a rim resistor to make it easier to do 3 zone.
I have decided to adjust the pricing to reflect the VAT and postage differences to different countries. So, to UK and Europe they will cost £13.50 including delivery. To the USA/Canada they will be £12.00. For other countries, please ask, but the likely cost will be the same as USA to non-EU countries
July 2011
DTxpanders will now unfortunately cost £10.30 each. This is to reflect the increasing costs of postage, VAT and components.
April 2010
I realised the pictures didn’t actually reflect the final build - I added test terminals to solder to. I have now updated the pictures.
July 2009
It’s finally here! Not a “new improved” expander as I had hoped, but a smaller cheaper one instead.
Supplied as a built PCB with no wires, case or connectors, it is around a third of the price of the original boxed version.
As you can see it is tiny, mainly to keep the cost down - the bare PCB costs more than the rest of the components put together. There are two M2 clearance mounting holes.
The PCB is FR4, single sided with solder resist.
